Farewell for Now…

After four seasons and 200+ episodes, we’ve decided to step back and see where life takes us next. So, after this week’s episode (#200), we’re taking off our aprons. New episodes will no longer appear in your podcast feed until and unless we decide to turn the oven back on.

We know that the Preheated Baking Podcast Listeners community is a gathering place for people around the world, and it will, for the time being, remain open for member posts. However, it will no longer feature updates from the show, and we will not be regularly active. The group will continue to be monitored for appropriate content.

It has been nothing short of a joy to plan for and create Preheated, and to share it with all of you every week. We so appreciate all of the encouragement, support, kind words and love we’ve received from our listeners and this community since the very beginning.

So it’s not a goodbye, but instead a farewell for now. Until we meet again … thanks for listening, be well, and sweet dreams!

  1. I’m definitely going to miss listening to Preheated every Monday. Wishing you both the best of luck where ever life takes you next.

  2. I’m so sad!! I’ve been listening regularly for the past year and I’m going to miss you guys.

  3. I’m a little sad. I just discovered this podcast and am already a huge fan! Good luck on your future endeavors, and I hope that you will eventually drop an occasional new podcast. Maybe monthly or seasonally?

  4. First the pandemic and now this. I am an avid listener of Preheated to the point where I almost feel like Andrea and Stefan are friends of mine. I already miss you two. The time you spend on the podcast/website/facebook page must be staggering. I spend 2 hours a day commuting and your casual and fun approach to baking has entertained me for years. I have listened to every episode, most more than once. The funny thing is, I have never baked ANYTHING that you two suggest. My sister (also a huge fan of yours) and I started making baking resolutions and one of my resolutions for 2021 was to do a bake along with you. Good luck on your journey…I can’t help hoping that it will somehow find it’s way back to Preheated in one form or another.

  5. I am Sarah Krous’s sister And an avid listener too. I still have some back episodes to go through and then I will probably start all over again. I have always looked forward to Monday’s when the next great episode comes out and will really miss them. They were a bright spot in this pandemic life. I have baked a few of your recipes with the latest being the English Muffins which were divine. I love that you make me laugh when laughter is a rare commodity. I love that you have challenged me to bake more boldly. I love that you have inspired me so that now I have baking resolutions, and I appreciate that you have encouraged me by responding to my questions. I can imagine that this was a lot of work for you two. I hope you feel great about the number of lives you have touched, smiles you have brought, and delicious baked goods that were produced due to your mentoring. God bless and thank you!

  6. I am sure you both put so much thought and time into this decision. Thank you for all of the entertainment over the years.

  7. So sad to learn of this decision, but completely understand. Thank you for the many years of enjoyable listening to the lively banter between you two, the baking tips, inspiration and recipes!
    You will be greatly missed!

  8. So bummed to hear of your departure! This podcast has been an inspiration to me as a burgeoning, albeit late-blooming baker. I’ve also enjoyed your lighthearted, comedic banter at the end of a long day/week. Fortunately, having access to the episodes will still provide ongoing instruction and entertainment. Thank you for all your efforts and best wishes going forward. You should both feel proud of a job well done!

  9. So sad to see you are leaving. I’ll miss you but I do understand. I just listened to the Laurie Collin episode and was delighted to hear your first book was Happy al the Time. Mine too. I think I have all her books by now. I don’t cook the way she does but her writing is wonderful. Hope to see you back someday, take care and keep baking!
