Paleo Chocolate Mousse

Looking for a Paleo-friendly, gluten free and dairy free dessert? Here’s a fast and easy mousse you can whip up on a weeknight for an impressive and delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 can full fat coconut milk (refrigerated overnight)
  • 3 Tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Open the can of coconut milk, scoop out the solidified cream, and place the cream in mixing bowl. (You can discard the liquid or use it for other purposes, such as smoothies.)
  2. Add the cacao powder and maple syrup to the coconut cream in the bowl.
  3. Using an electric mixer, whip into a mousse. The texture should be thick and fluffy, like frosting.
  4. Spoon into serving dishes, and top with nuts, if desired.
